I am A Woman
But who am I?We essentially have 8 births in our lives:

Daughter

Granddaughter

Sister

Friend

Girlfriend

Wife

Mother

Grand Mother

undefined
And so many more, but why just not a Woman?
Because at each role we are thrown at, we are expected to be in a certain way…Different people and different places have measures (Little Or More) but still it is expected and there is no other way to it…Because you are always something to someone but not just a Woman

And often we find ourselves contemplating on facts like:

Oh is my dress too revealing?Did my plunging cleavage seek unwanted attention…my skirt/dress which just revealed my thigh line did it look too disgraceful…I am fair while, the other is wheatish…My hair is shorter than the rest,While mine is too long and outdated…Do I hold enough degrees and skilled certificates, while the other thinks I’m just a pass out …I’m too skinny,oh I’m too plum…Oh she has a clear skin while I have breakouts…She is the best friend to have, where as the other one has too many hang ups..She’s so young yet so successful with a leading MNC,while the other is nothing. She’s married and working, while the other is neither…She Is the best wife to have so enterprising and empowering while the other is nothing but a homemaker…She’s the best co worker while the other is tagged as coy and dull…Hush Hush again a promotion?!must be pleasing her boss, while the other is still struggling to crack an interview…She’s the most idealistic mother, precisely perfectionist, while the other is just a mother and not accurate…

Think and think!! Harder than you can, do these always come from a Man?No!! it is largely discussed at scales by our own sisterhood too…
I could be so much or nothing but why judged and not be a Woman only…

I solemnly swear to love, respect and take care of him…I solemnly swear to love, respect and take care of myself…Why the comparison at all?…

Because you are a Woman
I’m raped yet not a victim…I’m abused mentally/physically and verbally yet not a victim…I’m loved and hated yet not a victim…I’m classy and slutty yet not a victim…I’m worshiped and untouchable for those 5 days yet I’m not a victim…I can be so much more but not just A Woman

In this competitive world where I struggle everyday to make a little more space for myself, I’m still not considered as equal because I’m a Woman
I’m a Woman of substance yet nothing because I’m a Woman

But having said all of that I choose to be a Woman everyday and at every birth I take because I am Woman

P.S- Not the first or last Blog/Post or Article on Womanhood. There are many and shall be more,as the debate seems unending but it’s in no regards to Demean/Disrespect anyone…These are very basic complexities we go through as a Woman more than often you can even think off

This is your 3rd blog and trust me I am becoming a fan of your writing. Though it seems you have started writing recently but the depth of your writing and the topic is making you unique in this platform…

Your perspective is refreshing.Your ability to recall random factoids at just
    the right times is impressive.
If someone based an Internet meme on you, it would have impeccable grammar. Your creative potential seems limitless.
You have a good head on your shoulders.Everyone gets knocked down sometimes, only people like you get back up again and keep going.

You should be proud of yourself. You are making a difference. You’re a great example to others.Actions speak louder than words, and yours tell an incredible story.

Keep it up Young Lady!! 🀟🀟
